India relies on a variety of electronic parts to help support these different areas of the country’s growing industries (electronics, telecommunications, automotive and information technology) each of which uses integrated circuits (IC’s) as a means to communicate between devices; however, India currently doesn’t have enough semiconductor production facilities within its borders so many of its IC’s are Import Export Services from countries including Taiwan, China, South Korea, and USA.
All devices depend upon IC’s to perform their functions; therefore, every electronic device has at least one IC that contains the hardware needed to operate, such as smart phones, laptops, TVs, automotive vehicles and industrial equipment.
The most common types of IC’s imported by India each year include.
Microprocessors (or CPUs): computers, laptops & servers.
Memory (or RAM and flash): memory for data storage, used across smart phones and all electronic devices.
